having a really bad weekend, it's a year this weekend since we lost our beautiful chocolate Labrador Charlie and I'm really struggling to get through this weekend
I'm not being a diabetic at all until the weekend is over

I know how you must be feeling about Charlie, and you have my sympathy. I've actually mourned more for my previous lovely doggy boys than I've done for family...

Thank you Robbity even at 12yrs old Charlie was still a puppy in his mind, we then lost our 2nd chocolate boy in August last year

I feel for you :( I truly believe that we are reunited with our furry and feathered companions over the Rainbow Bridge .

Be gentle with yourself.

Jan,
Charlie is once more that puppy, playing in the warm field, waiting patiently for you, over the rainbow bridge.
So don't fret about him, he wouldn't want that, he's happy to wait for you!

How awful for you all Jan, losing a family pet is never easy but I'm sure you've got plenty of fond memories of Charlie to keep you going, take care.

It's heartbreaking to lose a beloved companion. One of my dogs is ailing at the moment and I feel I just can't do without him.

So sorry, but you still have your memories of him in happy times and he'll stay in your heart and thoughts. Hope the next week is better for you ((((hugs))))

It's sooo sad and painful when our pets have their final farewell, whatever the circumstances, isn't it brottonmoores.
It's as if we've lost a family member or friend, and that's exactly what pets are, a (loving) family member and friend.

The parting of a family member or pet has such a soar sting in its tail. I've been there with you, I know.
.
Hope you have plenty of photos to look back with fondness, they really do help.

Fond good wishes to you.

willie.
