is baking soada is safe for diabetic?i was boling soya beans can i add a lil bit baking soda in that to make them tender?

I can't see any reason why baking soda should be harmful. I wouldn't use it myself as it neutralises vitamin C. Baking soda is alkaline and Vitamin C is an acid.
