The type of honey that I have in the cupboard is around 70% sugar. I eat very small amounts of it but of course as a T1 I am also injecting insulin. It would depend how tolerant your body is but you should be careful with it.
1tbsp of Barley Malt has a higher carbohydrate content than white sugar. It also has a high glycemic index (meaning your body will absorb it quickly) and it is highly likely to give you a glucose spike.
