2 nights ago i changed my long acting insulin from Lantus to Levimir ........ Now In the mornings when i wake up i could literally rip someones head off :x , its REALLY bad !!!

 Am i just having a barmy bint episode, are my hormones having a wild party, should my family vacate the premises before i rise........ or has anyone else noticed that an insulin change can trigger this ?

Since insulin is a hormone, there is likely something hormonal going on

Hi Chez,
My angelic 10 yr old changed from insumane 15 combi last week to higher doses of his Lantus,(with his humalog at meals) swear he had withdrawal symptoms and an attitude transplant over night cos he changed into  Damian!! 7days later and he's behaviour is coming back to normal acceptable levels, but he really scared me. He is a kind considerate child who suddenly became aggressive and a real potty mouth. So yes i really do think insulin changes can cause emotional problems.
Suzi x

Thanx Suzi, i wasnt quite so bad this morning, but it nice to know other people have the same problems, even if you wouldnt wish it on them x
