So my son is nearly one week into pumping and all is going well! We are doing lots of testing to try and get basal right. We were always led to believe that insulin requirements when pumping were less than MDi often by around 30%. We have kept on reducing his basal and now his total amount per day is just under 2 units compared to 8 units of levemir! I'm not looking for any advice but am just curious to know how much of a reduction other 'pumpers' have found they needed.
He is going to his first party this afternoon so it will be nice to 'zap' him with the remote rather than having to take him off to do his injection. Not to mention him being able be a little indecisive about what he wants to eat as I can keep on bolusing!
