Includes a chance for prediabetics and T2s to comment - knock yourself out!
I've just commented on it as follows:
I was diagnosed T2 in March. Biggest problem is NHS recommending carbohydrates in diet - carbohydrates = sugar for diabetics and is a major factor why I became one. Ignore the NHS advice, reduce carbs and test yourself regularly to see what foods impact you. And exercise more. If you are prediabetic this can help avoid developing T2, if you are T2 this can significantly reduce impact of the condition and enable you to take control of blood glucose levels. I no longer eat bread, potatoes, pasta or rice and am on the way to bringing my blood glucose to 'normal' levels.
The bigger picture is to take on the food companies who sell us sugar and carbohydrate rich junk food. Including 'low fat' products which often just contain more sugar. Fat is not the enemy.
