Cheers for that ! I was 5.5 when I went to the specialist in November, and I thought that the percentage was lower. But I've also been having night hypos, so I'm going to address that next in my diet. Anyway, it's good news if I can get their attention, so that they keep asking about low carb and Dr Bernstein. It would be so good to have some low carbers on the Medical side of things.....

I see my post was a bit confusing, I have bad cholesterol at 0.8 and good at 4.1 but Dr Bernstein's book seems to emphasise the difference between the two, rather than just saying, "Yeah, 4.1, that's fine". I am now not sure whether my figures are good, but quite honestly, with all the reading I'm doing, it seems like cholesterol is a load of hogwash anyway. It seems that a few people who are fit and healthy have been having 'heart problems', and may continue to have them if doctors put it down to a 'problem' rather than a direct cause, like energy drinks for example? Sorry, wandering off the topic a bit here, but it's all a drive to get a message out there.....

It has a comments section, I posted a comment about conflicting diet advice and the preference for self monitoring of blood glucose for people with type 2 diabetes but some of you older hands might want to post something as well.

Hi Jonathan,

The links interest me most as well as the topic. Health topic might be in trend in this time so I will have to visit that link and go my stuff there.
