Hi,

Been browsing here since our 7 year old son was diagnosed type 1 on the 1st June 2011.
At first it does seem like your whole world is upside down.
But Joshua has coped with it very well so that is the main thing...

Seems a great and informative place here... :D

Plus.... I wanted to make a post in the youth club section about my son so the time has come for me to join. :mrgreen:

Hi rockin_plumber and welcome to the forum :) I hope you find all the information you need in the Youth Forum. There are a lot of members who post in there.

There's some great parents on here with huge amount of experience with MDI and pumps....I admire all the parents on here.

Some have had good times and bad times with children and their diabetes, but it is all a huge learning curve for parents and boy reading the postings here have only given me the greatest admiration for the parents and the children...

Welcome (in a sad way) to the forum....

Sorry to hear about your son.

There are lots of parents who regularly visit this site and there is usually someone on line to
offer advice and help, or even just some reassurance.

I hope you find this site as helpful, informative and supportive as I have.
