At 5.0 now, its usually 4 or below , I'm diagnosed nearly 3 years now, is this a normal progression ?

I'm T2, so my experience might not directly translate to T1, but over the years, I have found that my body adapts to my average BG levels. If I have been running 'high' for a while, I'd notice hypo like symptoms at higher BG levels. Conversely, when I manage to keep my BG in non-diabetic range for a while, I might not get any physical symptoms even when I drop into 3s.

if You are running sugars at a higher level it’s not unusual to experience hypo symptoms at a more elevated figure , I experienced it a few years ago , now that my sugars are lower my hypo level has returned to a more normal figure
