Being induced

I'm only 16 weeks but I'm just curious to all the diabetic mums who have given birth.
did you get induced?
And how far before was your induced date from your due date?

I was induced 7 days before my oldest was due and 1 day after my second was due. That was almost 30 years ago and 27 years ago.

Like every diabetic, every pregnancy is different. Sometimes everything goes to plan but other times things don't quite go as expected.

My oldest weighed 8lb 2oz and my youngest 8lb 3oz. Large compared to some but not too bad! Both were natural births and the nurses made comments about how good my diabetic control must have been.

In those days they didn't keep such a close eye on blood sugar levels. We certainly weren't expected to maintain as low levels as girls seem to these days - but I still got on very well.

I was induced last week at 38 weeks because I had reduced fetal movements so they got a bit twitchy. They had planned on inducing me at 39 weeks which is standard where I live but like has been said above, every pregnancy is different.

I will be booked in to be induced at 38 weeks. Last time I was also booked in at 38 weeks but was brought forward by a few days as I was having hypos.
 
I'll be told my induction date at my 36 week appointment. It's likely to be at exactly 38 weeks.

Last time I was given the date and told to phone in the morning before going to the hospital (as they need to have space in the central delivery suite).
 
I was due to be induced at 38 weeks but at my 37 week scan they said babies body started growing a little too big so had to re book being induced for that day! I had to go home and pack! It took 4 attempts and afew very long days but got there in the end and she was 7lb 8 so not bit at all
 
They told me I'll be induced at 38 weeks they said it's a definate at my hospital. So not sure if I'll have a section or natural yet!x

Had my baby in 08/10/14 and was induced at 38 weeks which is standard procedure where I live even if everything is fine.
 
I'm only a little ahead of you and my hospital's policy is to aim to get to 39 weeks -- my son (almost 5) was a whopper though. Even with decent control, so I'm not optimistic about making it that far.
