Hi
I have just read about the above herbal product in a diabetes magazine. It is sold here in Australia by one supplier who is asking for $125 for 30 tablets. Does anyone know anything about eleotin and has anyone used it. I am looking for alternative medicine to treat my out of control diabetes but do not want to be fleeced.

It sounds like one of those "medicines" designed to part desperate patients from their hard-earned money, here's a quote from the website of one vendor of Eleotin:

ELEOTIN was developed and researched by the University of Calgary, Canada and the Julia McFarlane Diabetes Research Center. The Julia McFarlane Diabetes Research Center is a leader in the research, prevention and cure of Type I and Type II Diabetes.

And now a quote from the director of of the Julia McFarlane Diabetes Research Center:

...it isn't possible to cure diabetes with any herbal extract

I would also note that there haven't been any clinical trials of eleotin, if there had, and it is such a wonder cure, I'm sure the medical community would want to be involved.

All-in-all, I would bear in mind the advice from another vendor of eleotin:

...is not intended as a substitute for advice from your physician or other health care professional or any information contained on or in any product label or packaging. You should not use the information on this site for diagnosis or treatment of any health problem or for prescription of any medication or other treatment. You should consult with a healthcare professional before starting any diet, exercise or supplementation program, before taking any medication, or if you have or suspect you might have a health problem.

Regards, Tubs.

Hi Josephine,

Having just had a quick look at the ingredients it appears to be very similar to a couple of other so-called cures for diabetes that are nothing more than money-making scams (melabic and diamaxol). Please don't fall for it.
