Hi everyone.
My bro is currently receiving ESA.
He has received this for the past 4 years due to the fact he has not only diabetes, but also dementia. He has been provided and funded with care through an agency by his local council with 24 hour care in his own home. After recently discussing his benefit entitlements with the local cab office I have found out that he should of been paid a severe disability allowance every week for the past four years. The DWP apparently mistaked a carer who cares for you 24 hours in your own home as someone who lives you. Which is not correct. I wondered if anyone has come across this problem before.
