Benfotiamine

Just wondering if anyone who take Benfotiamine could let me know which brand you take, where you buy it from and what dosage you take. I want to buy some but would like a reputable brand. Also did you get blood tested before you started taking it? I read that it is fat soluble so wondered if a baseline blood test needed to be taken first.

I buy Benfotiamine from Bodykind. Website is - www.bodykind.com
The brand is 'Doctors Best.' 120 X 150mg Vegicaps cost £24.42. They are a reliable company & the Benfotiamine has always arrived 2 days after ordering. I take 2 X 150mg capsules per day morning & evening. For medico-legal reasons that shouldn't be taken as a recommendation, it is Just what I do myself.
I wouldn't like to atribute any improvements in blood glucose control to Benfotiamine alone as I am always finding ways to improve my personal control. I can say however that since taking Benfotiamine I seem 'a lot better generally' in my overal health. Just little things that are improving.

Thanks for your reply. It's good to hear that you've seen real improvements that may possibly be attributable to the Benfotiamine. I read a lot of reviews and people seem to rave about the stuff.

I ended up shipping some over from the states as it worked out more cost-effective. For 100x 150mg Doctor's Best I paid $14.54 plus $4 shipping. Even with the dire exchange rate at the moment this works out at about £15.50 so a fair bit cheaper than the UK, especially if you're taking it long term. It took 5 days to arrive by normal post. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to mention the website but you can pm me if you want the info.

The only issue with importing it is that in order to avoid VAT and handling charges you need to keep your goods' total value below £18 so in practice this means just shipping one pot at a time.

Ah, I see they sell Alpha Lipoic Acid, bit expensive though, I'll check against some of the other suppliers.

That's getting hard to find at a decent price, at least one supplier has dropped it from their range.
