Berberine

good afternoon all, I am basking in very humid London sunshine! Anyone got any info, research etc on Berberine and diabetes? Tried my pharmacy but they had no idea. Holland and Barrett similarly clueless. Would like something upon which I can base my bg strategy. Taking 1000mg slow release metformin OD. Don’t want to increase this dose although the GP has written me up for 2000mg fasting bloods around the 6.5 mark each morning. Statin may be increasing my bg? Any help appreciated.
