AVOCADO, olive oil, mayo, nuts and seeds. I keep saturated fats low as they're harder for me to digest so I don't eat lots is dairy, chicken skims, bacon, fatty sausage BUT I do eat chicken thighs ( no skin) lamb chops ( visible fat cut off) lean beef, canned salmon and tuna with olive oil or mayo. Nuts and seeds in moderation and olives. I eat 80% fat but most is plant fat. I'm old lol. Times have changed. This is whT work for me these days. And I love every bite!!
I just don't GOB the fat but rather normal portions. It just comes out a higher percentage as I don't eat many carbs nor do I over eat protein. Keto is the name of my game.

Poor grammar, bullying and drunks.
In contrast, I eat the visible fat on meat except for the parsons nose. I use olive oil and cold pressed rape seed oil, butter, cheese and full fat greek yoghurt and double cream. I will occasionally use walnut oil, too.
I try to go easy on processed meats so I will have chorizo, salami, ham and bacon. I loathe fish especially oily fish so I just do not eat it. I do plan to try tinned salmon again but I will wait until there's nowt left in the cupboard.

@jlm - The site runs a 10 week Low Carb Programme, which has has some astonishing results for some people. It's a 10 week programme. you can find it here:

Low Carb Program - it's made front-page news of the New Scientist and The Times. Developed with 20,000 people with type 2 diabetes; 96% of people who take part recommend it.

There are various YouTube presentations on it, including this one:

Would you like me to change your thread header, to read LCHF (although, as a Scot, I rather like the Loch Diet)?

I believe if you eat a varied and healthy low carb diet, you will be automatically including a good selection of fats and oils from various sources: meat, poultry, oilier fish, eggs, dairy, olives, avocados, nuts, seeds, and their various butters and oils, coconut oils, etc. I like to hedge my bets!

I eat a very low carb/ketogenic diet, and prefer to include low carb fruit and vegetables for their vitamins and minerals, but not everyone believe that this is necessary - it's a matter of (a) personal choice and (b) how well your body can handle carbs. But whatever you decide, it's important to realise that you may probably be eating low carb long term, so you need to make quite sure that your choices are sustainable - and enjoyable.
