Hi all, I have very sensitive finger tips. I have the SD codefree finger pricker, which came with the set. I have it on 1 and even that hurts a bit and I bleed lots. I am a natural bleeder (faded redhead lol)

any recommendatons for lancets? since my run in with blood poisoning a few weeks ago (and its recurrence last week) I am extra cautious and using a new lancet every day. But it still stings a fair bit.

I am using my fourth finger tips and little fingertips mainly, on the sides. My sugars seem to have gone up recently, probably due to the infection, so I am testing about 6 times a day right now.

FastClix lancets are great and I can highly recommend them for comfort and ease of use.

Accu-Check Multiclix lancets are excellent, as are Fastclix.

Both have six lancets per drum.

I am another Fastclix fan. So easy and no messing. 6 lancets contained within a plastic drum that is inserted the pen. When the lancets are used up just throw the drum in the ordinary bin and insert a new one. There are 11 depth settings on the pen.

I would add the recommendation to try different sizes of whatever brand you use. My pharmacist sold me the thinnest ones saying they hurt least, but I found that the bigger ones (included as samples with a new metre) were actually less painful for some reason (I think I had to go less deep with them). Might be worth a shot.
