Best Food To Eat Before Bed?

Messages

I have trouble lasting through the night without waking up needing something to eat due to low sugar levels.

Whenever I do have something to eat prior to going to bed, I often wake up in the night having the shakes and hypos. Can anyone suggest anything I could eat before bed that will not cause me any discomfort?

I suppose basically it depends on what in the way of carby food does not upset your digestion towards bedtime.

I find a slice of wholemeal (home baked bread) toast spread with peanut butter at around 45mins before I retire helps hold off night starvation. You will probably find something not too heavy and low GI will be the way to try.
I never used to have a problem through the night, but now my mix of meds do tend to have me heading towards low around 2 to 3 am, so hence the PB toast. I also found a smallish portion of mildly flavoured egg noodles to be quite good.
