Hi All.

Maybe it's the time of year, but like a lot of people, I'm feeling pretty rubbish. Combination of razor blade throat, the sniffles and sneezes. I am hoping I'm through the worst but just wondering if anybody has any T1 friendly remedies?

I've done the usual keeping hydrated, trying to stick to routine and healthy meals to keep BS down. I'm so energyless I've given the gym a rest the last couple of days and have had to turn down a night out tonight. I couldn't bear the thought of drinking, dancing and even less sleep before the working week kicks off again

I hate to say this, but that sounds like something we all go through. It's called getting old. I have no doubt that medical things like diabetes just makes it worse, or more noticeable at least.

I wish I had a definitive answers to what to do about colds and flu. My annual flu jab seems to have kept anything really nasty away for years. I don't really get colds like I used to either, I take supplements like Magnesium, Vit D, CoQ10, and Vit C but I can't pinpoint a particular supplement to be responsible for less colds. The supplements I take are after having blood and urine tests which showed deficiencies so maybe having put those deficiencies right, my immune system works better.

Twenty years ago, when first diagnosed, I'd get something just by being in the general vicinity of somebody sneezing or coughing (slight exaggeration, but you get the picture) so maybe the supplements are responsible for a healthier immune system. I'm also a great believer in having my flu jabs. This year's was done 2 weeks ago.

I know, it's just normally I'd never turn down a night out for a special occasion but due to feeling so rubbish I've had to.

I've never really taken supplements and generally have a good immune system but not his time.

My BS is still running in the teens, despite doing what I can to get it down.
