Good morning not sure if this is the eight thread so be gentle with me,at the moment I have breakfast snack, lunch, snack, dinner all small plates and I try to keep to the same time every day, what is the best time to start my breakfast would it be 7am or 9am,I am retired so I have the time.Thank you:)

If you are trying to lower your blood sugar levels it may well be better for you to eat less often. This would allow your body a chance to rest more than just when you are asleep. When I eat I tend to only have lunch and dinner.. no breakfast and no snacks. By not constantly stimulating insulin production by eating your overworked pancreas can regain some control.

There are probably two schools of thought on this, both aiming at the same result of lowering your insulin needs.

The small and frequent pattern or the regime used by @bulkbiker

Everyone is different so it will be a matter of trial/experiment seeing how your own BG tests tell you is best for your body.

I tend to follow a regime similar to bb's as experience has shown that works for me, but there are many on here who follow the opposite way.
