I always want to tell people keep in mind, you could be a type 1. If you are doing everything right so to speak and not getting the results, it could be you need to change the diet more but it could also be you are a type 1 and you need insulin. Which as a type 1 your body needs insulin for every carb and even protein. Plus your liver makes glucose without even eating.
There are also some type 2's that end up needing insulin too.
I was misdiagnosed for years, luckily medications made me sick so I went on insulin. Then to find out I was a type 1 when tested.
This is happening a lot. Something like 50% of type 1 diagnosis are people over 30, but you can be 40, 50 or 60 years old.It is finally coming out how often misdiagnosis happens.
Just keep it in mind. It's a possible.
