Without wishing to seem prurient, I have a question about BG levels and sexual activity.
I'm pre-D and on minor oral meds/mostly diet - with good control.
Occasionally, I'll do a normal post-prandiall test, but when it happens that I know that sexual activity is coming soon after. Sometimes, it's just the look in her eyes, a cuddle or an outright comment.
Not on enough occasions to be certain, but it looks as if I test a full 1.0 or more higher, which is quite noticeable for me, as I'm otherwise very stable.
As a pre-D, I don't get strips on prescription, so am not now testing very often - even so, have seen this effect half a dozen times or so and wondering if it is usual. The effect is 'worst' when I can already feel my heart rate going up a bit.
Deliberately testing at such times would be a bit of a passion-killer, so I don't have that many data points to go on, but interested to hear if any one else has seen this.
Example; I'm almost *never* above 4.7 at two hours, yet the only times I've had a significantly higher PP reading - 6.0 or so - is when amorous activity is very much on my mind.
The morning after, I'd have to say I am probably down a decimal place or two - but again, not that many tests.
