One step at a time....
Works canteen stodge. But the chef is dead good so I might try and work with him.
My problem is I enjoy the social side of work lunch and I don't want to be seen as different. I know that's really vain and stupid so as I said one step at a time.
I.
No it is not vain or stupid but completely natural to feel like that but I am sure your work mates and friends will not see you as different diabetes will not change your personality which is what your friends like about you. Hopefully your canteen will have food that is suitable for you like any meat fish and vegetables salads with cold meats cheese or an omelette are fine as are sausages burgers without the roll and if you really want potatoes just have a smaller portion than you used toWorks canteen stodge. Bacon and egg, mushrooms, tomato? Omelette with salad?

We went through this week's menu and he suggested things he could do to give me a decent lunch without the carbs.
He is also going to send the weeks menu on Friday so we can modify it for me every week.
Today a stir fried chicken dish, everyone else had egg fried rice and prawn crackers. I had a huge plate of stir fried veg brocoli/peppers/carrot/onion with the chicken.
He's a star!
