So over the last 2-3 days my BG levels have been going crazy after lunch until 5pm and onwards. I noticed last week that post lunch times I was going low so i lowered lunch time NovoRapid doses and still about 2 hours after eating I'm hitting 3.3s etc and some times lower, taking the usual orange juice or glucose tabs to correct it can take about an hour or two with muliple glasses of juice to raise it. Then check 1hr after things have leveled it's like 11 and rising check again in an hour and it's 14 and rising. Yesterday I took 2 units of correction dose when I saw the first 11 and it did nothing. This has only been happening over the past 2-3 days.

Could it be
  1. Insulin running out around 4-5pm as I have reduced the lunch time dose?
  2. Liver dumping some glucose because it's taking hours rather the minutes to come out of the low?
  3. Something else?
  4. All the low correction juice kicking in at the same time?
This pattern is consistent with both training and rest days at the moment.

Well, going low would certainly potentially cause a liver dump and then raised blood sugar. I personally find it very difficult to avoid too high bs after a hypo.

Personally, I would try reducing the lunch time bolus a bit more to avoid the hypo altogether ....
but...
Is there a chance your basal is too high?
