An awful lot.
I think l am settling into the routine of low carb. Except l may need to eat more at lunch as my pre dinner (night meal) this week has been 4.9 and tonight no spring onion at lunch but an apple instead...ran out of spring onions. I was 4.6.tonight.

I do myself pretty much as soon as l walk in the door as Andy has my dinner ready and waiting. Reading about going to low not hypo but to low in itself can also lead to complications, should l up my lunch so l am over 5 instead of under?

I have also had at other times quite a few between 6.4 to 6.9 is this ok or not what would be a happy medium?...l have had higher a couple up to 9.3 but l know what caused those.

I know it says over 4 at pre meal time but reading comments to low really isn't idea..or am l just misreading and l am not to low

Thanks
MI

metformin isnt usually a problem for hypos, the lower the better, i am 3.0 every afternoon, its all good, this is a mixture of opinion, experience and answers to similar questions here :)

Thanks Andy puts my mind at rest yet another question to tick off my list

Only 23445 0000 to go... told you guys l had a lot of questions

Well if that is the case it is a bit of a worry for my mental health as so far all your answers have made sense to me

Way too low for me.

How come Douglas you are ill or it would worry you or another reason?

And how do you feel about the mid to high 4 range

Scuse me (again) for butting in, any worried newbies type 1, or type 2s on blood lowering meds this is too low. Below 4 classed as hypo, stay safe (sorry again)

I know you stated metformin, just I seen it in blood glucose monitoring, not a prob, but, newbies on different meds might not realise the difference. Seem to butt in a lot lately lol.
I do think even just on met 3 is too low, tested many non ds and always had readings of mid 4s to 7s (on the spot, not fasting). just my thoughts though.

Normal range is 4.5 to 6, I'm happy if I'm in that range.

Below that is in the hypoglycaemia risk area.

please feel free to butt in at any time hehe, its always a pleasure to be butted :)

ive never had a hypo sympton of any kind.

im getting old.... this was a very funny post that was gonna get me at least a final warning whats the matter with me :oldman:

I agree no need to worry and l happy for lot of butt-ins ... ugg this forum has destroyed my innocence l will never get it back now

l have been looking for an excuse for an extra spring onion :) Seems my secret weapon may be "dem springy onyumms"

Weirdly 2 scrambled eggs keep me going till lunch l am usually around 5.5 to 5.9

My lunch 3 spring onions, 100 grams full fat yogurt, 50 g raspberries 2 crackerbread 60 gram cheese 6 slices of pepperoni (small ones) And l drop below 5
Today even lower as no onions and an apple instead.

Andy, l was going off the info someplace here that says:
pre meal 4 for type 2
And 2 hrs post under 8.5

Final warning for what? helping seems a bit harsh that to say the least
