Hi all I've set up my meter but only testing once a day as moved house and to be fair not had time to test more with workmen around all the time..I'm test two hours after lunch..so first was. 9.3 mon
Then 8.9 tue
Then 7.6 wed (didn't eat a lot busy)
And today 7.9

Does this say I'm on right track or is testing once a day simply not good enough.
And odd question but is cheese ok to eat I've so far not but I do like cheese omelett..
Trying to loose some weight as well.
Thanks

hi, once a day is better than nothing but not really enough, cheese is great for a low carb diet but its high in fat so it depends how you decide to play things diet wise, personally i eat loads of cheese, especially in omelettes, any decrease in bg is in the right direction :)

Thank you andy I will try to test more and perhaps ill get cheese but just use a tiny bit to flavour .I'm happy for bg readins to go down any way they can

cheese will not effect you bg, if you ate a whole block it would only effect it the tinniest amount, fat dosent do anything to bg and cheese is pretty much pure fat, its great! (in my experience, there are folks an awful lot more cleverer than me here lol)

unless your on a low fat diet and then you'd be crazy anyway lol, just playing :) (not)

me to :) i have bit of cheese and losing weight slowley so its doing ok . extra 15 mins on tredmill = cheesseeeeeee lol xx well don to ur sugers sound like there doing really well xx

Cath I'm bk gym and squash monday (( well I say squash me and my friend run about and wave the rackets a lot lol))..I'm going to get nice strong cheese full flavour..yummy..and I shall try to test more.

The readings are pretty good and going in the right direction. I also have quite a lot of cheese but keep the carbs low. I read the other day that fats do increase blood sugar just a little bit and in theory insulin injections should be increased slightly if having fats with carbs; interesting but not enough to worry about.

Well I won't have a lot just a very small amount for to taste. Thank you about readings I desperatly want to get it down
