BG testing

This may seem a bit of a daft question. I have been keeping a record of my BG since being diagnosed. I note BG’s before and then 2 hours after a meal.

Having gained a bit of confidence I have started to inject my bolus around 30 minutes before I eat to prevent the spike. My question is should I start the 2hr timer from when I inject or start the timer after I have finished eating. As I find the results can vary in this 30 mins.

Many thanks
Andy

The two hour point is the time at which the insulin action should be peaking, so it makes sense to see where your BG level is there. Two hours after eating you know that you should be falling as a result of the peak time.
