That's probably because your body is used to your BGs being higher. It's kind of a false hypo until you get used to the lower numbers, but 4.7 or 4.8 is perfectly normal. You are on the right track.
Unless you are injecting insulin, or on glucose lowering drugs low isn't all that important.
You might feel a bit wobbly if you aren't used to those levels, but your liver should adjust once it realises that something unusual is going on. If you've had consistently high levels it might take a little while for realisation to dawn.

I would be delighted with those readings, but I'm not on medication.
I've read on here that you might have to be careful if you're on Glicazide.
