Okay, i'll admit I had a more than normal amount of carbs saturday, sunday and monday..

On Saturday and Sunday the highest my blood sugar spiked to was about 6.8..

But last night it spiked to a 9.4! It started to go down slowly (it went to about 7.7, 20 mins later.)

Then at around 2 am, I woke up to pee and decided to check it and it was at 4.8. So I was like okay, back to the levels I have been having.

So it's around 6 am where I am right now and i'm about to start my day. I check my blood sugar and it's at 7.9!!!!

I don't know what's happening, I know the levels aren't dangerously high but they are a bit upsetting to see after having seen stable numbers around 4.5-5.7 ish range.

Run down of what I ate, let's say I ate more than my normal 25g of carbs for each day!!!

Saturday: Filipino noodle dish (palabok), fried chickens and greek salad
Sunday: Filipino noodle dish (palabok), fried chicken and salad

^ Had a bit of a family party so leftovers is what I had to deal with haha

Monday: I had a kale salad for lunch, then at home I had maybe 7 tablespoons of white rice and I think I had about 40g of chips ("crisps" as they call it in the UK!).

I don't know. i'm blaming the carbs but this is freaking me out.....

It's the carbs. It's almost always the carbs.

Now you know what the impact of a few days with higher than usual carbage can do to your metabolism put this little episode down to 'research' and start again. You'll soon find you are back to lovely numbers.
