LOL, every time someone refers to it as the "Big D" I think of something else that isn't appropriate to discuss. Maybe that's a combination of American slang and still being in my 20s.

When it comes to bg levels I prefer Non D

You can call me Big D if you like but can't say I would prefer it but definitely don't call me Diabetes as it would make me sound like a disease.
