Hello all :)
Newly diagnosed in july, i'm 18 and taking a year out!
Im going volunteering in Togo for 3 Months in January -April so i will be needing a very large cool bag to carry all my insulin in, (Levemir and Novorapid)
I've calculated to last me 4 and a half months (in case they get stolen, damaged or lost) i would need about 35 or so pens! Does anyone know if there are any particular good brands for cool boxes or something similar?? its just to last the day travelling to get to the capital on the airplanes!
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks, Alasdair :)

I would look at getting a few of reusable Novopen Echos and swapping to the cartridges. They are much smaller to carry with you and therefore won't take up much luggage space or as much space in the fridge.

I use Novopen 5 with Levemir and NovoRapid cartridges. Like tim2000s said, much easier to carry around, more durable and won't take up as much space. The only thing to consider then is needles. Have you got your customs certificate too? My friend had his insulin taken off him at a foreign airport as he didn't have the correct certification. You can get it from your DSN or GP. Happy travelling! Best thing I ever did was going travelling in my late teens!
