Big dip in BG after exercise

Hi, a quick question for anyone who knows about Blood Glucose levels.

I don't take any BG meds, and through diet and exercise I have just about managed to keep my BG under control. It is generally in the mid to high 5's or post prandial @ the mid 6's, although I'm not testing as often now as I don't get free strips.

However as it was my birthday earlier this week, hubby decided to make me a treat with his new panini maker. I had one panini (Lidl one so not huge) with cheese and ham and my blood sugar 2 hours afterwards was 7.3...a bit high for me, but as it was a one-off treat and I have worked so hard the last 6 months to both lose weight and change my diet, I wasn't too concerned.
Guilt kicked in though, so I thought I had better do some exercise to lower it a little, and I did 25 mins on my exercise bike at a moderate speed. When I checked 10 minutes afterwards my BS had gone down to 3.2! I checked it twice, the 2nd time 3.3.

I'm not too worried, just curious as to why this has happened. I don't test after every meal, and I admit that I have been a bit dizzy lately after getting up from a sitting position, but to be honest I assumed that perhaps my BP is a bit low as I have hypertension which is controlled by tablets, but now I've lost weight etc, I thought that perhaps my BP was dropping a little low.....just guessing of course.

I do try to go for a short walk after my main meal, or I cycle, so this is my ordinary routine.
It's quite a significant drop, and I've never been so low before, so I'm wondering if this is good or bad, or just a blip perhaps?

You seem very much in control!
I am also "diet controlled" and I had a similar experience yesterday.
I must admit I had been only mowing the lawn (which I do not normally do), but felt quite weak and shaky. After about ten minutes I felt a little better and I took my BS and it was 3.8- had I taken it earlier I wonder what it would have been. I took it again five minutes later and it was up to 4.3. I did not ingest anything during this time.
So, I ask the same question, is this a diabetic phenomenon- if so, what is going on- or would it happen to anyone?
