Hi everyone,

After 3 visits to the doctor/diabetic nurse yesterday, and discussions between them and the hospital doctor, I was put onto Victoza in the hopes of bringing my BG down from the high teens to a more normal number. My HBA1C reading was 11.3%!

I took my first injection early afternoon today.

Before Supper I took my glucose reading and it was amazingly down to 6.5! I had steak, mushrooms, cauliflower and brocoli for supper, and 3 hours later the reading is now 5.7!

I am feeling a little wobbly (but happy) but I guess that is the sudden drop?

The only other change made was to split my metformin into two doses, one in the morning and one before supper.

I am amazed at the drop already. I wasn't expecting any sort of result yet.

My only side effects seem to be a headache, no sickness which I was lead to believe I would get.

It will be interesting to see what the morning reading brings, as that is usually the highest of the day.

Regards,

Carol
