Your initial high reading at diagnosis was like mine. I had an occupational health medical at work on my first day back after a holiday, the nurse said i was diabetic. Went and saw my doctor who after a lot of misunderstandings confirmed the diagnosis. So here I am fighting the battle of avoiding all the nice things I've been eating for the last 50 odd years and trying to stay healthy, fit and with a lower BG reading
