rude d/n nurses and being treated like im wierd because im diabetic
since i was diagnosed in dec , its been an amazing journey for me, i took no advice from the docs or dn nurse atall lol and come here instead, the advice i got was good solid and well balenced, i listened to everyone who gave advice on low carb. exersize. everything, i was 21 stone ill and not destined for a good life ahead , thanks to you all im 6 half stone lighter and losing still , fit active, and my confidence has gone shooting up, im about to come of all medications and do it on my own, and most importantly doing 8 mile walk in aid of my local hospice tonight , 6 months ago i couldnt even turn tv over from tirdness , so really its a thankyou from me as a milestone begins , i can only say to those as new diabetics listen to these guys they know there onions, dont give up in any way, and certainly dont give into temptation as it only takes you back down to that place were diabeties wins .. not one i plan on going back to ever... thankyou from my heart xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Great post, and so pleased to hear of your progress.
Keep at it, and good luck for the Run:)

What an inspiration you are to us all! I think you should be sainted! I was diagnosed 28th of Jan this year and have managed 2stone 8lbs but it is slowing right down now! Life definitely feels better when you're lighter and clothes fit better too! I need to lose 6 stone to get to my ideal weight but will be over the moon if I lose 5 stone! I love reading success stories like yours - they inspire me! Take care and a huge hug!

A story like this makes me feel good. I would like to say well done and someone else has already said that you are an inspiration to us all.
