Sorry to post again but I am slightly confused about my situation and wondered if anyone had any advice/similar experience please.
My HbA1c was 57 in February. This was about 3 weeks after a flu jab and 2 weeks after a Covid jab!
For years before this my Hb1Ac was between 36 and 46 so labelled pre-diabetic.
Since my one high result I have reduced all refined carbs (loosely following a low GI diet) and since the test result I have been using my blood sugar monitor 3/4 key times every day (fasting, pre-prandial & post-prandial) and it has hardly ever gone above 6 apart from a few 6.5s in the morning.
I know I’m going to sound like I’m in denial here but is there any chance with a result like that after jabs and high carbs I can actually be still pre-diabetic or at least back in the pre-diabetic range.
Also - I see on the website it has blood sugar reading 11.1 as being ok in the non/pre diabetic range - so if I had some spikes before (no more than 9) it could be still ok?
I suppose ultimately it doesn’t matter in many ways as despite being pretty scared/upset since the result I know I need to eat lower carb and live healthier so maybe it’s been a good wake-up call.
Thanks for reading if you get this far!
