Is bruised areas appearing on lower legs anything to do with diabetes? (type 2).
 
I don't know for sure but since your legs/feet are at risk of problems with diabetes I would definitely take that to a doctor. If you have pins and needles or numbness I would take it to a doctor more quickly.
 
Do you mean bruising, which is sore, and starts and fades, or is it painless and permanent?

Some drugs can cause staining, especially on the lower limbs. The best known is Minocycline.
