Bleeding sensors

Hi everyone.
I’ve just put a new freestyle sensor on and a fair amount of blood started ooze out of the middle of it. I’ve applied pressure and it’s now stopped and I’m cleaning my arm and equipment. Anyone else experienced this? I’m hoping it will still work. I’m guessing I just hit a small vein? I’ve used a fair few sensors now but not experienced this before.

I've had this happen twice - first time there was blood everywhere (good job I have a laminated floor downstairs) and it hurt so I took it off and it left a humungous bruise (one that hurt a lot for the first few days and could still be seen 7 weeks later), second time (about a year later - same arm though) the bleeding stopped somewhat faster and it didn't hurt and worked fine for its 2 weeks.

Thanks Rokaab. It just weirded me out a bit as didn’t expect it. Good to know it’s not just me. I was having a night off wearing sensor last night as I’m about to start to use a pump. I’d sent of for a trail omnipod and thought I’d have a night off being part cyborg before attaching my pretend pump and new sensor. I put the sensor on before the pump this morning and just bled everywhere. Hopefully the sensor will still work. I’ll find out in ten mins. Thanks again for your reply.
