I’m abroad on holiday and I have a blister on the ball of my foot. What is the best way of dealing with it. I’ve had blisters before from obviously wearing new shoes but never one on the ball of my foot.

Oh dear, a bit late with reply, so hope it is sorted now.
I would keep the blister covered with a padded dressing, taking care not to let it burst. If it becomes hot, and red around the blister site it could be a sign of infection. so seek advice, perhaps from a pharmacy if you can’t get to a medical centre.
Hope it hasn’t ruined the holiday, @Sarah69

Thanks, it hasn’t burst yet thankfully. Holidays been good.

Initially Don’t Burst It! As previously keep it clean and covered (I use Compeed plasters)! Keep a close eye on it and any sign of infection, inflammation, rising sugar levels etc then get to the doctors asap! I know how painful this can be so I hope it gave you the perfect excuse to sit with your feet up

Very sound important advice.! I recently wore a new pr of shoes that rubbed the back of my heel a bit. Left it for a week then had to go to GP as was large and infected. Sent straight ayay to our High Risk Foot clinic. Was given 3 wks antibiotics, returning twice for checks. Told if I had not been to GP could have lost foot!!!

Thanks it’s fine now. As I was away I didn’t have any plasters, didn’t need them anyway. It’s gone down. Thanks for the replies.
