Does anyone else have problems with blisters?
I run and play football a few times a week and i get them every single time.
I've tried all sorts in order to alleviate to the problem but nothing works!
I don't particularly suffer with blisters, but could (attempted) prevention be better than cure?
If you always blister in the same spot, some specialist tape, or lathering on Vaseline or the like, might provide a rubbing strip/lubricant to prevent the friction on the skin there.
When I was playing squash at a very high level, I used to "feel it in my feet" if I had a particularly long and arduous match. I didn't blister, but they could feel "rubbed". I invested in some (admittedly expensive) specialist socks; they did them for squash/badminton, walking and so on. The footie sock liners were very thin silk socks, again as I say, just to prevent to nylon or nylon mix rubbing on the skin.
They were all natural fibres in order to wick the perspiration away. Sadly, I can't recall any brand names, but some of the runners, like
@ElyDave might have some wise words?
