Bloating

I have recently changed to porcine 70/30 as the novorapid and lantus were giving me fast heart beats, but I now get very bloated so much it hurts and have also put more weight on, I eat a good diet. I am taking 40 units day and 34 night as I take steroids I need to take more. Has anyone else had this problem.

Steroids have always increased BGs. I have 5mg per day and manage to keep mine in some sort of control, up a bit and down a bit, BUT when I have a rheumatoid flare I double the dose of prednisolone and up go my BGs. There is nothing to be done, just have to weather it out. rheumatoid flare is extremely painful with all joints swelling but 7 days on double dose calms it down somewhat.
