Been a diabetic for around 12years, had bad control for past 6 years, trying my hardest lately to get on track and feel that keeping track of my blood sugars is going to help, was wondering if anyone uses a app to keep track of their readings? Just new to this forum too
Thanks

There are a few about, the best one depends on what phone you have (iPhone or Android) and personal preference really. I currently use Diabetes Connect on Android (just the free stuff) which is also available on iPhone. I'm also looking at Diabetes M which has a lot of features but doesn't seem to let you separate normal bolus and correction doses which I would want.

On Track was pretty good too when I tried it (admittedly a couple of years ago..)

I use the Health app on my iPhone - also works with other apps (like My Fitness Pal) if you choose to use them.

Simple

Obviously appreciate everyone doesn't have an iPhone ... similar apps on Android I think.

I was using my health and sugar sense, however I've literally just added glucose wiz into the mix. As I can make notes around my readings and record taking my meds etc.

I can't find glucose wiz on android - I'm getting an iphone soon though so will look again then :-)

@PenfoldAPD I've been looking for a decent app since I was diagnosed. Most of them didn't appeal, but that one I'm really impressed with, and it works well with both the iPhone and iPad. Personally I think it's the best I've downloaded so far.

@BeccyB Sorry I should have mentioned that I use both iPhone and iPad.

i am using Diabetes M ap on android for the first time the last few day.
it says a my fasting read of 5.9 is too high and my bedtime read of 4.7 is too high both in the red zone
is this right? and why? my target is 5.6
it seems that i have to get a 5.5 to get a blue read

Have a look at your settings @Stevia_queen. There should be an option to adjust the readings for your indvidual targets. Unfortunately I don't use android anymore so I can't tell you what menu it will be under.
