Type 2 Blood glucose high

I just started metformin today after being diagnosed type 2 two months ago . My blood was averaging about 10.5 so I need to learn diet but I just checked my blood because I feel quite sick and it is showing 14.8 not sure if this is dangerous or just normal what should I do thanks Jim walsh

Its not exactly dangerous but it is high. The best thing to do would be to start reducing your carbs which will help to bring down your BS. Have you done any reading about LCHF, it might be worth looking into.

I agree that 14.8 isn't good but not dangerous. Anything in the high 20s is too high and needs urgent action. Reduce the carbs and see how you go.
