I've just done a glucose test reading came back 3.4 low glucose, what does this mean.

It means you're having a hypo - take some glucose tablets/jelly babies etc. 3-4 should do.
and test again after 10mins or so and follow it up with a biscuit or something else with slower acting carbs.

Do as the above has mentioned and relieve your symptoms.
But to really help you, we need more information.
Do you take meds?
Are you diabetic or prediabetic?
Have you been fasting?
Do you eat enough?
The more info the better.
Did you recheck that your reading was a rogue reading?
Did you wash your hands and dry them properly?

It is difficult to answer you without knowing what type of diabetes you have and what medication you are on, if any. Many type 2s see figures in the 3s at times with no ill effects at all. How did you feel when you had that reading?
