blood levels after accident

can anyone help me my levels were below 7 i was managing well then last monday i had a car accident ended up in ditch . pain in neck now i have a very bad pain in lower back doctor said just takepain killers. back to blood levels after accident my levels are higher going up to 13 and not geting down to levels befor crash do you think the accident to blame.

Hi Tony, sorry to hear about your bad luck and I hope your back feels better soon. My thread on the diabetes board 'Unexpected High Number!' posed a similar question regarding high numbers and stress and it seems that it can and very probably will raise your bg levels, and if you are tensing your back muscles to relieve your back pain that may well keep your numbers elevated.

Hot/cold gel packs from chemists like boots really help me with my long term back pain. I wish you a speedy recovery.

i had an horse accident last yr and mine were higher than the norm for a couple of weeks,
another thought is..are u less active than b4?
do the painkillers contain any added sugars as some are
