Hi
I have been managing my blood sugar quite well (although not brilliantly) and over the last few years my blood tests have come back as between 48-51. However a recent test has just come back as 68. the only thing that I have done differently is to start taking indapamide for blood pressure. this is a diuretic and the leaflet says that it can increase blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. However it was not clear how much and whether this could account for such a big leap in 6 months. I mentioned it to the nurse yesterday but she was dismissive. Does anybody have any experience or information about this as I need to decide whether I should discontinue the indapamide or whether I should be looking elsewhere for the reason for the increase? Many thanks.
