Hi
@Sharrryn, Sorry to hear you have such trouble. My take on things from my diabetes experience, not as professional advice or opinion. Anxiety puts my BP up never down!
webmd.com/heart/understanding low blood pressure basics - Understanding Low Blood Pressure - the basics Sept 2017
defines low BP as less than 90/60, but it also depends on whether you have symptoms of low blood pressure too.
Low BP is a worry as you can end up injured in a fall. Also an undetected loss of blood can cause it.
My endo found that my BP systolic (the higher reading of the two, systolic/diastolic)) dropped by 20 between sitting, and then standing for 5 minutes. He said that me being not dehydrated or obviously bleeding, that the most likely causes of this fall in my BP with posture was either due to the BP medication I was prescribed or due to neuropathy where the nerves that influence changes in BP when I go from laying down or sitting, to standing have been injured by long term diabetes.
There were some rarer causes that were ruled out by blood tests.
So from my viewpoint I would be suggesting you
see your doctor pronto to obtain a reason for having such low BP and to rule out a significant change in your BP with posture (say laying down or sitting to standing) I was told that often one's BP might sag a little then bound upwards when first standing up and then level out. I was expected to have the same or slightly higher systolic BP after standing the 5 minutes.
Best Wishes on finding a reason and a solution, and keeping safe !!! (and it might not get you out of the washing up as my wife thoughtfully supplies me with a chair!!
