Blood sampling

Good afternoon A very simple question for knowledgeable people , does it matter which hand i use for my blood sample i am currently taking blood sample from left hand but wondered if right hand would be ok or is it to do with being on same side of heart ???

I have no idea at all, but I do know that having had a stroke, the blood sample readings from my left hand which is on my stroke-affected side are always higher than from my right hand which was not affected. Of course I have no idea if this would have happened pre-stroke because I had no idea I was a diabetic then and never tested my bloods.

Given that blood glucose meters aren't the most accurate anyway you will always find some variation even in samples taken at the same spot at the same time... So the short answer is not really at least not enough over a period of time to make a statistical difference.
