Blood Sugar Calculator

Is there a such a thing as Blood sugar calculator?

For example, if my reading was 6mg/l before lunch and I ate something with 30g Carbs in there, what would you expect blood sugar levels to be two hours later

I know this can be very much individual, but thought there might be a ball park figure.

It is possible to scientificaly calculate what would be the B/G rise from a known Carbohydrate or simple sugar (Glucose) however no two individuals are the same.
Even GL and Gi tables are based on what are the mean average responce levels for a wide selection of indivuals (incidently in testing they have to be FREE of diabetes in the first instant).
As each individual is unique, I would suggest that you conduct your own simple testing using your own B/G meter and measure your own B/G responce after eating a 'Set Meal Portion' you might need to conduct the test several times over several weeks, but eventually you will get to know for YOURSELF what actually is best for you.
By all means follow the published tabels for GL and Gi as these are a particularly good basis from which to work from.
All the Best.
