Insulin. (Takes over my life)
27.4 before lunch. Felt sick at breakfast. Been overly tired these past couple days that I can't really function. Heart racy.
Might test later and update. Not one doctor or diabetes specialist to call. One is off for the rest of the month and I won't get in to see him till August 6 and my diabetes specialist I can't see till August 9th. Might have to go to the Emergency Department my nurse said.

If you did a recheck with clean hands, maybe an emergency visit is called for.Your symptoms would get my attention. You have insurance Im assuming, this is a valid time to use it IMO.See the medical folks and play it safe is what I would do.

I agree with your nurse.
Feeling sick with such high number is an emergency. Your avatar says T2, but the information in your profile points to a possible T1 diagnosis, as you write yourself.
Diabetic ketoacidosis comes with high bg and being sick, and is a very dangerous condition. Please get yourself checked rather sooner than later.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Yes as said in your previous post if you have high blood sugars (which you do) and are feeling nauseous (which you are), then go to the Emergency Dept as soon as possible. That means NOW

Are you in the UK? Ring 111 for advice. Test again first after washing your hands.

I'm sorry you're unwell. As you don't have your own insulin at home, I suggest you go to the Emergency Department and get your blood sugars sorted. Feel better soon.

My diabetes specialist says I could be a type 1.5 and my NP should test me but she said she talked to him about it but he doesn't want to do it because it will cost money to send it away. And I don't have much money to begin with. I've already had diabetic ketoacidosis and it got under control due to my Tresiba. And I don't know if I am doing it right or not, because it always says negative or a trace and I feel like I did when I did have DKA. So quick question, do you pee into a cup and then dip the ketostix in the pee or do you just pee on the little stick?

Thank you so much. But I do have insulin at my home, but I only have orders to do it twice a day and the nurses say they can't do anything without anymore orders. And I'm already on a pretty high dosage of the three insulins I'm on. It's just frustrating to still have high sugars and I'm on such a high doses of three insulins. But yes, thank you so much for the concern. And I'm going to test my blood sugar in a few minutes. And I'll update as soon as I can.

No I am not in the UK. I am in Canada. And I've washed my hands and I'm going to test again because I did a bit of exercise and had a bit of water. So I'll recheck and post on here and probably go to the hospital.

You can test for ketones with the urine strip or blood testing meter if it has ketone blood test strips. Usually you pee, then dip the stick in or with a blood meter, test your blood like usual.

Okay thanks. I am testing my blood sugar now.

You are in a difficult situation, but when I was diagnosed up until now, my mum was given orders by my dsn at the time to give me a correction unit only for the high readings. So I am quite surprised your dsn hasn't given any orders for a correction and more monitoring, any diabetic with those numbers would feel absolutely rubbish. I hope you get better soon. If ketones are present, please rush to the hospital.

Not a clue, as I never used them.

Thank you! You got us worried and we want you to be alright
Only went down to 27.0 don't really wanna go to the hospital yet. Not even finished my water. Should I go now?

You have already had dka. If you don't get medical attention the results may be catastrophic and permanent.
