hello all, I have a question for you. I was diagnosed type 2 in April. I was doing well lost weight and got blood sugar levels down from 18 at diagnosis to usually between 5-7 with excercise, Diet and two metaforim a day. However i got flu about 4 weeks ago and since then they've shot right up again, usually now in the 10-14 range and not coming back down. What should I do?

Infection raises bg and although you may feel better your immune system may still be mopping up.
Carry on with your work to lower your bg and it should show better results soon.

Thanks for the reply, I was getting a little concerned as it has been a few weeks. I've got some gliclazdies left over from when I was first diagnosed, do you think I should take them
Again to get them back levels back down or just see how it pans out on metaformin and excercise?

Might also be useful to have yearly flu jab with your GP to prevent flu happening in the future
